Ladder 102

as far as what the rig looked like..cant comment...BUT...
great truck company
has a great reputation which continues to be upheld to this day by its current members.
rest in peace BC Dennis Cross (9/11)

There was a photo in an early 60"s WNYF of 102's ALF and it received a mention as the best appearing rig. I believe the photo was taken at the training school on Welfare Island and the crew were all on the rig. I wish I could be more specific on the date.

Here is a video called: "Fire-Everybody Goes", showing Ladder Co 102, along with Engine Co 209, during the very busy FDNY War Years. It shows their Seagrave rear mount at the time this video was made (1974). The film was posted by "R1SmokeEater".

I saw the photo of it as an ALF today. Thanks for telling me about it!

Remember that piece, did a quick look through all 1960s WNYF did not catch it.  If you find the date, I can post.  I believe it was a 1960, 1962 ALF.

My rusted brain is working overtime on this. I see in my feeble mind a right hand page up near the top. If only I could pin it down more for you but right now I'm going to get a "Purple K" unit due to the smoke emanating from my ears. Must have a shorted circuit upstairs. ::)

memorymaster:  I also thought it was right hand page at top; but no.  It  was left hand page near bottom.  L102 was published in WNYF 3/1961 (Summer).  I thought there was also mention somewhere about their custom tools.
