Anytime 2 or more LIKE Units respond a BC goes...in other words a 5-7 signal like a car Fire etc would not require a BC but if a second ENG was requested a BC would be assigned....i would say that if Mut Aid was requested it would be for several Units so a BC would be assigned....also if a boat goes on Mut Aid a BC goes.

Chief, in most cases doesn't a DC respond also?

Did Mt Vernon request mutual aid from FDNY? They have to exhaust all mutual aid in Westchester before they can go outside the county. Did FDNY respond on a Bronx box and just go to work?

I believe MV units had water problems. Fdny went in to supply water, and ended up putting TL to work. That's what I heard anyway.

E-63 was connected to a hydrant on Seton Ave.(S.12th Ave) & Cranford Ave. I'm not sure if this was a Bronx or

Mt.Vernon hydrant. It's a close call
