A preview of one of the new Battalion vehicles decked out by Odyssey (the same company that does the NYPD ESU trucks)

I believe this will be the first of the new batch; it is marked with FD registration GM09001.

is this an actually veichle that was made or just a mock up.

The GMC pick-ups will be replacing the chiefs and Ems supervisors vehicles as Ford is no-longer providing diesel engines for most of their line-up

When it first started there were some marked ones behind it also. and plenty in the parkinglot

When you say most of their line-up I assume you are referring to their SUV line-up.  Diesels are and will continue to be available in all F-Series Super Duty trucks.

"Odyssey Automotive Specialty of Wharton, NJ was awarded a contract from FDNY to build 80 Responder Pickups. 40 are EMS and 40 are Fire Rescue. Established in 1979, Odyssey manufactures EMS, Fire, Command, Specialty Law Enforcement & commercial vehicles based on sport utilities, vans, trucks, light rescues, trailers & specialty chassis. 800-535-9441 - www.odysseyauto.com"

I guess not all of the Battalion rigs will be getting replaced. There are 49 Batts. and only 40 are alloted for Fire Rescue

Heard that four of the new vehicles were seen on the Deegan on 12/23/09, probably being driven to Fleet Services.  One was EMS 965.

Anyone have any further information?

Odyssey is projected to do five per week.

We have seen pictures of several of these new vehicles with EMS logos and numbers e.g. 961, 965, 966.

Has anyone seen any numbered for batallions or the divisions?????
