Will the current budget crisis affect the delivery of the new Seagrave pumpers?
WAIT ......what budget crisis ???
The massive drop in sales tax revenue due to restaurants and other businesses being closed could cause a shortfall this year of several billion dollars. Other revenue sources will also be impacted.

whoever u r stop speculating on here n stick with facts nobody cares what ur opinion is

I doubt there will be any delay.  Its understanding new engines and trucks required every 10 years as stipulated in IAFF labor agreement. And if the city fails and makes members ride front line rigs older than 10yrs those members must be paid a premium wage.  So it really wont save the city much, if anything

Is this directed at me? No opinion stated, whatsoever. I made no comment on whether this will affect FDNY in any way. I was just answering a question.

The first new Seagrave, SP20001, lettered for E245, has been delivered.

Scott Berliner found it and snapped this pic:

Yes, it must have went and had work done, it's one of the 2008 - 2010 batches. Or is it retired ?
