New Jersey police officer killed, second officer wounded in shooting by 14-year-old, authorities say

Authorities say a 14-year-old boy shot and killed a police officer and wounded another Friday evening in Newark.

Detective Azcona's funeral will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart. The County Prosecutors Office has announced that the suspect will be tried in a closed hearing in Juvenile Court, possibly only facing up to 20 Years. Once he is released, is record will become sealed.
