Ahh...the good old days! There were nights in the original Suspenders where you needed a mask with all the fire stories being told...lol. But there was never a time you would walk in there and not know someone. Used to get a kick out of a few of the young whippersnappers trying to impress Tom Neary with their latest exploits. He's just smile that wry smile of his and walk away to serve another customer. And, of course, as the hour would get late...the nightly Neary/Larry Fitz (RIP) show would be presented...with Billy Ahearn warming up doing pushups on the floor....always a riot. Wednesdays were 28/11 nights....with Jackie Corning (Tommy's brother) behind the stick. Spent more days and nights there than I care to admit...lol. Great times.
