Recent violent trauma incidents for DCFD:

5-27 Triple stabbing at NW homeless shelter-400 block of 2nd St. NW.2 taken to local hospitals,1 treated on scene
5-26 Stabbing - 4th & M street SW
5-26 DCFD FFs treated 5 stabbed in NE just after 3am this morning  (proposed EMS plan calls for no medic units btwn 1-7am)
5-25 Shooting 8 Month Pregnant Woman shot around 8pm in the 1100 Block of Bladensburg Road, NE
5-22 12th St & Irving St - adult male multiple stab wounds transported to trauma center
5-22 Stabbing 1300 Adams Street NE5-18 Stabbing - 14th & Newton street NW
5-18 Stabbing - 500 42nd Place NE
5-18 Shooting (2:30am) - unit bulk S St NE - male shot in head, treated & transported to trauma center, life threatening
5-18 Shooting (3:15am) - 2300blk Ontario Rd NW - male shot in back, treated & transported to trauma center, life threatening

Chicago is no better, 6 people killed by gunshots since Friday PM. Military people in Afghanistan are safer than people in the S and W sides of Chicago. :'(

Pretty violent incidents within the last week. Both D.C. and Chicago are some pretty tough towns.
