From another site:

"February 26, 1993. First Trade Center bombing. Never forget."

Continued Rest in Peace to those lost that day. Continued thoughts and prayers to those who responded to this event and those who were impacted by it.

May we Never Forget.

To those who were lost Rest In Peace. My wife worked in the south tower but was having lunch with friends in the north tower when the bomb went off. She and her friend walked down the stairwell 40 floors from the cafeteria. They were caught in the heat and smoke with hundreds of others trying to get out. They only had their jackets to cover their faces with and were breathing in smoke. They helped each other to keep going until they finally got out. She and her friend are seen on video coming out of the building my wife in her red jacket and her face black from smoke. Meanwhile I was at home without the tv on trying to call her office and kept getting a busy signal which was strange since voicemail would pick up. She finally called me and told me she was ok and to watch tv. When I saw what happened I was stunned. My mom having found out what happened met her and took her home and I picked them up at the SI Ferry terminal. Within a year she started having breathing problems and was diagnosed with a lung condition she was then treated for. She also made it onto Geraldo's tv show which I got to watch from his bus. A very rough time from which thank God she completely recovered. I should also say a huge thank you to all the first responders who helped my wife I certainly didn't forget.

Sittin' in the Nut House kitchen about 6 Mos. after, Lt Ange. (111 Truck), spoke about doing
Floor x Floor Searches... he said, & his crew nodded in agreement,: with all the Explosives, Ammo & Weapons FBI, Treasury,
ATF, CIA, ... has stored there, if it ever gets hit hard, that place will 'Go Up like a Roman Candle'.

FDNY ultimately responded to the incident with 84 engine companies, 60 truck companies, 28 battalion chiefs, nine deputy chiefs, and five rescue companies and 26 other special units (representing nearly 45 percent of the on-duty staff of FDNY). The fire department units maintained a presence at the scene for 28 days. No Rundown.

If you have access to the WNYF 3rd Issue of 1993, the rundown is presented in the upper margins of pages throughout the issue. You'll see Box Number, Time and Assignment.
