Oh how nice, what will they think of next. I suppose next January when I go for my annual WTC medical I'll be asked to leave.

John & Joseph continued RIP.

Lt. John T. Vigiano, R-2, receiving the Thomas A. Kenny Memorial Medal, 1981.  He is accompanied by his wife & two sons, John & Joseph. John was a member of L-132 & Joseph was an NYPD detective working in Squad 2. Both of his sons perished on 9/11 in the line of duty, RIP.  Lt. Vigiano retired as a Captain from L-176.

Thanks Mike for posting that picture.

Looking at that today, who would ever expect what would happen 20 years later.

May they Rest in Peace, brothers John (FDNY) and Joe (NYPD)

Congratulations to Joe Jr. and continued R.I.P. to John Jr. and Joe Vigiano.

Not sure if this has already been posted here. Capt. Vigiano in 2015 talking about the job, the military, and his sons:

This is the kind of story that needs to be passed around to your friends, relatives, and Brother/Sister firefighters from across the country, even the world.

FDNY Firefighter Jo Jo Espo, a GREAT thing you have done. Not only have you stepped in as a father figure to these members of the FDNY Families, but you are a Role Model to each and every firefighter out there today. You prove to them that we really are one big family and how we need to step in during their time of need.
