"first due", Thank you for the Excellent rundown.

Just as a point of interest, for cities of similar sizes in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and parts of Mass., Yonkers continues to catch the most working fires on a regular basis. And this is based on other web sites reporting working fires for Hartford, Bridgeport, New Haven, Ct., Providence, R.I., Worcester and Springfield, Mass. These cities do their fair share of work. However, the only city that stands out among them, for it's size (even less, about 80,000 - ?) is Lawrence, Mass.

With that said, we can all assume that guys like site member, "R1SmokeEater", see their fair share of work.

As a buff of the area, of course Yonkers has always been over shadowed by the very busy FDNY. But in reality, they do see their fair share of work, and Unofficially, I have always considered The City of Yonkers to be New York City's "SIXTH BORO".

My pleasure nfd. Yonkers sure does catch a good amount of work. I think it is safe to say that Yonkers is the busiest department in Westchester. But let's not forget about New Rochelle who sees a fair amount of work as well and in my opinion come to a close 2nd.

Great rundown as usual, first due.

Yonkers is definitely the busiest paid department in Westchester in terms of jobs (and probably in terms of runs in general). In recent years, Yonkers has beaten out cities like Bridgeport and Hartford, CT in terms of frequency of fires.

New Rochelle does see a decent amount of fire for a city and department of its size, and is the second busiest in the county.
