Anyone know when did Backstep riding officially end? I know Companies we're doing it until the mid 80's but I'm assuming it ended somewhere between around the late 60's to late 70's.

The current assignment on a 10-75 is 4 Engines, 3 Trucks, 1 Squad, 1 Rescue, 2 Battalions, 1 Division and 1 RAC. How has the assignment changed over the years?

I know the Fire Marshals and EMS use 10-13, but most sites that list 10 codes say only the Marshals can use 10-13. Is there any truth to that or do companies just have to use 10-47 and 10-48?
