So apparently the same thing happened to E275 but was caught in time

Not unless you have a good amount of water on the fire. That big of an opening is gonna give a lot of air to that fire if you don’t.

That is what happened at the fire in 80/23s quarters back in 2008. A space heater was malfunctioning and smoldering up on the second or third floor (not enough heat in the firehouse). The members were all down in the kitchen. When they opened the doors to respond that blast of air ignited the entire third floor. The units were responding and had no idea what was going on back at the ranch.
The firehouse was eventually rebuilt and 80/23 wound up with what was basically a whole new firehouse.

Last night they had an engine “acting” 79 at E48 every 3 hours. They checked out 3 firehouses for them to relocate to haven’t heard nothing else. Around 2009 the engine went to 62 and ladder and battalion went to 81 both in cages outside. 48 has an out door pretty inclosed parking lot so maybe someone will be going there. Seems alittle out of the way to have the truck riding out of 81. I can see the battalion going to 81 just makes sense.

Thanks for the update. The reason i inquired about the CFR runs was that E79 ran just short of 3600 medical runs in 2025. That’s about 9-10 a day. Might be best to put an EMS fly car with 2 EMTs in 79 area from 0800-2400. Until more definitive plans are worked out.

That was the arrangement when they did the rehab on 79/37 Firehouse a few years ago and it worked out fine.

alarm? L33 was designated the FAST when BN 19 announced the 10+75

Don’t think the 19 was added until after the 10-75 was transmitted.

From the audio above you can hear the dispatcher attempting to raise B27, since they were initially assigned although also trapped upstairs. Presumably the dispatcher transmitted the 10-75 based on the phone calls from L37.
