soda acid  Take a good look, that sign on the light pole says " ONE WAY"  which is what Vermont Street always has been, a  one way street. Every other north south running street alternates direction, one north the next south, all the way east from Pennsylvania ave to Crescent St.

OK guys, I agree with all of you about picture #1 . . . a '57 Ford.  But what about Pictures 2 & 3?  I think (although I'm not certain) that #3 shows a '55 Ford . . . but there's a lot of glare from the rear, and I wouldn't argue the point.  But what about picture #2?  I don't think it's a Chief's car at all!  I blew it up a bit, and I think it's a 1938 LaSalle (or maybe Buick) ambulance.  Anybody have an opinion?

OK, it's been more than 2 years since anyone posted in this thread, but I couldn't resist:  1976 Pontiac, Battalion 33 with Engine 276 [thanks, Mack (in his firehouses thread):

I drove that battalion car a couple of tours when I was assigned to L 156. A blast from the past.

That's another 1976 Pontiac with L4 on top, with a 1982(ish) Plymouth with L113.
