Just alittle heads up on the activity I noticed:

In the past 24 hours, from 2/15-2/16 there have been 24 AH or greater jobs in the 5 boroughs.

In the past 24 hours, there have been 4 second alarms.

Today, 2/16 alone has been extremely busy with numerous AH and second alarm jobs , must be the weather.

Stay safe out there everyone

Nice work once again, Bill.

Thanks Frank. I like to think this might be one of the reasons why the guys picked me to be a "Junior Honorary Member" of "The Boys from NYC".

Now, now, Bill.  Don't let it go to your head.  Remember - there's a probationary period.

I would just like to take a minute to say "Thank you" to the members that regularly post the Fires and Serious Incidents on this site throughout The City. Not only throughout the City but also in Westchester County and Connecticut. Without them, there would be no monthly numbers to post.

They provide us with locations, size ups, rundowns and any information that is of concern. I think they all do a very good job of it.

As I list the jobs tally numbers, some of the same members show up giving the rest of us these updated reports. When I wanted to read about a Fourth Alarm in Staten Island, I just looked here. Same thing a few months ago when I wanted to read all the details of a major gas explosion in Harlem. Or when there was a commuter train crash in the Bronx, I found it here. All explained in a language that some outside our group might not really understand.

I hope I didn't leave anybody out. I think we all appreciate the work done by the following members:

"mikeindabronx" (recently voted as "Most Valuable Player" on NYCFire.net)
    "fdny1075k"
    "FDNYSTATENISLAND"
    "firephish"
    "signal 73"
    "firstdue"
They all do a GREAT JOB. THANK YOU !!!

I also want to mention that the tally numbers for the FDNY, Westchester, will be posted a little later for this month (March, 2015). So just hold onto your panties, "I won't forget".

It's been a really busy month (March, 2015) for EVERYBODY. A seven alarm explosion/fire in Manhattan. A serious fatal fire in Brooklyn.

I just want to let everybody know that I'm going to be a few days late in getting the March, 2015 Fire Activity out. Same for Westchester - Yonkers, etc. But as soon as I can, I will do it.

Do you have written permission to be late and, if so, is it signed by the appropriate level of authority?  Tardiness is the first step on the road to perdition, William!

Manhattan, I've been in trouble before. This won't be the first time. When the time comes, I'll take my beating and hopefully it won't ever happen again.

I do hope to have it up around the 5th or 6th though.

Careful, Joe.  The rule here is if you fire anyone, YOU pick up their duties.  ;)    I can see it now . . . "FDNY and NYC Firehouses, Get Together Arrangements,  FDNY, Westchester and Connecticut Runs and Workers, and Sundry, Miscellaneous and Other Stuff"  ::)
