You're all very welcome my (not so young) friends.

And how about my buddy there "fdny1075k", aka Emmett M. He gladly accepted the job of Fire Activity for the larger cities of Westchester County in doing his part. I think the kid has got the makings of one of us NOT so young guys with a high level of addiction to this stuff. I heard he took the test for one of the fire departments recently. I hope he does well.

And lets not forget those that make this entire Fire Activity tally count possible. All the members that take the time to give us all the rundowns, size ups, etc. This wouldn't exist if it wasn't for them.

And although the numbers tell us part of the story, we all know it is the members of the FDNY that do the actual battle. Many times with the support of the FDNY/EMS, NYPD and Con Ed. And it all begins with somebody in a Communications Office that ask "Where's the Fire" ? And when all is over, said, and done, it gets listed here. Just like a well run, operating machine. Yes, when it's all put together in the total package, it really works well and it is a GREAT Operation.

Great work as always, Bill.  Would you, or anyone else, know when the last time was that Manhattan had no multiples in any given month?

  Thanks Frank.

I took a look back at the Fire Activity posted on this site for 2014, and 2015. Manhattan had "No Multiple Alarm Activity" during the months of March and November, 2014.

On October 2nd, as many tuned into the Bronx, we heard for his final time, "Come in K", as Dispatcher Tree,Tree,Oh, aka Dispatcher 126, Da Beef, acknowledged the many congratulations on his retirement, as he joined the many other legends of FDNY Dispatchers.  And now, as one FDNY company put it; "Where's Da Beef" ?

Thanks, Bill, for your usual great work.

One question concerning the Manhattan 6th (box 575) and follow-up 2nd (box 574) alarms on 17th Street: do you know why different box numbers were transmitted for each job?

Thanks.
