This rig was a hand me down from E 290 toENG*290 INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER ..... View attachment 54080
Not a very reliable rig and they were all gone from the inventory within a decade. Must have been a stopgap low bid contract. This rig was a hand me down from E 290 to
E 319 . 1963 international harvester 2-10ST
It had the crew bench behind the ECC and Officer. I rode many many tours on this rig.
Anybody remember the International tractors that were purchased just after World War II? I recall L33 And I think L50 in the Bronx using these to pull ancient wooden aerials.A good thing about the International as well as the Firebrand Pumpers was instead of two individual Jump Seats on either side of the Motor they had a horizontal long Bench behind the Chauf & Officer allowing FFs to get on or off on either side of the Rig.
