    Temporary Relocations

I remember back a little after the 18th Batt. got their Suburban we got relocated down to the 8th Batt. I backed in at crawl speed all the way back to inches from a bunch of electrical panels and when the door closed it just cleared the front end. To get out of the car I had to slide across...

I know back in the day they sold the air rights around the 8 Battalion quarters and I heard that's how the whole mess started.

    9-29-23...NYC STATE OF EMERGENCY.

The less you clean out storm drains the more flooding you will have. Look at the storm drains on da city highways and see the weeds growing out of them. It ain't global warming, it's a major lack of maintenance.

    New FDNY Tillers

Yes 38 had one of the 110 footers and it was a pain in da rear quarters to get it in outa quarters. The front end of the aerial was high enough that when backing in or pulling out to the left the aerial would go over the fence on top of the wall across the street from quarters by the nursing...

    New FDNY Tillers

I don't want to make some of my friends, still in da Bronx, mad so I will keep it to myself but there are a few areas in da Bronx that still have some narrow blocks and are hard to navigate. Also, the work has moved north so it would behoove the job to put a couple of tillers in da Bronx to...

    New FDNY Tillers

The way it was done in the past yes the initial new tiller may cost more then a rear mount but there are a few factors to keep in mind. In the past when they came time for replacement only the tractor part was replaced. If the aerial part is good just refurb and attach a new tractor. From...

    New FDNY Tillers

My 25 cents, inflation made 2 cents obsolete, is that da Bronx could use 2 or 3 new tillers.
