Thanks Steve, aka svd385. But of course the real credit goes to all those that took the time to post the details and the numbers on each and every one of those jobs. They really were the ones that did all the work. "I just counted them up".
But of course for each and every one of those fires, it was the members of the FDNY that responded and put their skills to actual work. From the basic All Hands Fire to the Fifth Alarm jobs. Each and every one is a challenge in itself. How many lives were actually saved ? How much property did they save ? There is no real way to count those numbers. But if we could, those are the numbers that REALLY COUNT.

As we look back to how tough it was, on this date, January 31, 2015 a major seven alarm fire ripped through a large warehouse in Brooklyn at Box 103. It was reported to be one of the biggest fires in 10 years. As I remember the battle went on for weeks during one of the coldest January/February's in a very long time.
Another seven alarm fire occurred on March 26, under sub freezing temperatures.
As site member "FDNYSTATENISLAND" also pointed out, in one 24 hour period in February, 2015 there were a total of 24 All Hands or Greater Alarms. Again to compare the weather conditions for firefighting in February, 2015, according to weather reports, that was the coldest February ever on record for the NYC area.
As the year 2015 has ended it was a tough year for the members of the FDNY. In every one of those reported fires, their skills were put to the test. But it's still nice to know that the FDNY is still considered to be one of the "Greatest Fire Departments in the World".
