didnt like them at first but when i saw eng 3 on thursday they kinda grew on me cant wait to photograph one

Spotted one of the Upper East Side rigs today (either E22 or 44, maybe even both) at a box by Hunter College.  Looked pretty good, guessing more will be going into service soon.

:-[ OK I must really be computer illiterate. I click onto the Seagrave web site and go to new deliveries but all I get is written info, no pixs. What am I doing wrong? :(

i saw engine 266 today in brooklyn at a shop filled with rigs. it was on paidge ave? by the pulaski bridge

o yeah i saw the academy rig at "ziebart" in riverdale nj lastweek...it was there getting rust proofing on the entire undercarriage...my buddy works there he said they all get it at a ziebart by the seagrave plant but this one snuck out without it...it was cool to walk around it too bad it was locked up

Yes, that is Paidge Ave and Provost St. I work right next door (Time Warner Cable) and see rigs come in and out every once in a while.

A month later, E39's new rig is finally in service.  It was somewhat funny hearing them try out the EQ2B the first few times since they kept stopping it with a high-pitched squeal  :D

Saw E-88's new rig Monday. Looks nice. Won't really look like 88 until they gold leaf it, and put the stars on it. The job finally put an MDT in the back of the cab, which is something I know the members have been asking for for a very long time.

I don't think any of the new rigs will look quite right until all the customizing is done.

On a separate note, E317's old rig is already back in service as a spare at E5.

was looking at some pics of TL's, and surely TL31 and 23 are due for replacement soon, they are old beaten relics heralding from the 90's by the looks of them.

jarrod

TL's 23 & 31 are 1998 & 1999 models and they are due for replacement  soon but even though they have seen a lot of action, they're in pretty good shape. ;)

read in some threads here that there are no more TL's due for another two years, be good to see the older TL's soldier on for a few more years if they are still going strong.

:)

I saw E40 is back using its '97 Seagrave (it is customized with the flashing "40" on he grill, so know it is not a spare) after only a few weeks with the Marauder II.  Does anybody have any info as to how the new rigs are holding up?
